Spokes Jewelry Services Bangkok, in partnership with Concept i (Layout & design), DJ Coalition (lighting design) and Mosaic Eins (lighting supply) had a wonderful time and worked carefully to design, construct and transform an outdated, snooze-fest of a computer room into a brand new Creative Co-lab space for a school purpose built for deaf children. Setsatian School is Thailand’s first school for the hearing-impaired and has been operating since 1953.

As the pandemic ripped through Thailand in 2020 & 2021, creating opportunities to give back required a bit of creativity. We were fortunate to have connected with our friends and were able to supercharge the learning experience for these amazing children. Accomplishing this task was a personal high point for me and the entire team.
The digital learning center is part of School Director Dr. Panadda’s vision (a wonderful human being) to create real life opportunities for work and future independence for the students. The 85 sq.m Co-Lab includes 22 work stations set into a vibrant studio with comfortable niches to relax, and exchange ideas. “The angular layout gives a creative look and feel” says Nunthiya C., Architect. “and the walls are alive with global quotes and pictograms inspiring the students to dream, explore, and create”. “The color symbolism is powerful” says Pei-han, Graphic Designer, “the yellow/grey Pantone “Colors of the Year” highlight our human need to be seen and heard and also symbolize insight, innovation, and intelligence, motivating us to think, learn and create in new ways.”
